Defending Champions Argentina Start Copa America Title Defense with 2-0 Win Over Canada

Argentina took an early lead in the first half and never looked back, controlling the game and creating the better chances. Julian Alvarez scored the first goal in the 28th minute, and Lautaro Martinez added another in the 66th minute to seal the victory.

Canada had a few chances to get back into the game, but were unable to capitalize. They had a penalty kick saved in the second half, and also hit the crossbar late in the game.
