Virginia School District Cancels Classes for the Rest of the Week

Due to Threat of 'Credible Violence'

Suspect, 18-Year-Old Boy, Arrested and Charged

Breaking News: Classes at all schools within the Fairfax County Public School district in Virginia have been canceled for the remainder of the week following a credible threat of violence.

On Monday evening, law enforcement officials received information about a potential threat to schools in the district. Authorities immediately launched an investigation and determined the threat to be credible.

As a result, the decision was made to cancel classes for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday as a precautionary measure. The district announced that classes would resume on Friday and that additional security measures would be in place.

An 18-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with the threat. The suspect is currently in police custody and is facing charges of making a threat of terrorism.

The Fairfax County Police Department is still investigating the incident and has urged anyone with information to come forward. The district is working closely with law enforcement to ensure the safety of students and staff.
